More Than Five Decades of Language Instruction
The Language Workshop was founded by François Thibaut, who has devoted more than 50 years to teaching languages to children and adults.
He is the creator of the Thibaut Technique® and was named Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques by the French government in 2019 for his contribution to education and French culture.
His work and teaching programs have been featured by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, CNN, New York Magazine, and New York Family.

For kids, more than 15 years of experience has shown that tailoring a learning program to each child’s own pace and rhythm leads to better results. Finding the Right Program in French or Spanish
The first step is simply to tell us a little about yourself—or your child—so we can understand what you’re looking for.
Let us know the student’s age, previous experience with French or Spanish, goals, interests, and general availability. Every student comes to us with a different background, level of confidence, and reason for learning.
From there, we can recommend an appropriate starting point, lesson format, and schedule. Whether the goal is building a strong foundation, improving conversation, supporting schoolwork, preparing for travel, or becoming more fluent, we’ll help create a program designed around the individual student and adapt it as their skills develop.
